Rehovot is a Sleepy University Town, Jerusalem Post Reported in 1995

"Rehovot is changing. This sleepy university town is becoming a city that's meeting the needs of everyone from young singles and couples to large families and retirees.

In the year 2020 about 145,000 people are expected to live in Rehovot, compared with 87,000 residents today.

Rehovot covers 22,500 dunams. The city's outline scheme for 2020 involves increasing its built-up area to 12,500 dunams, from today's 8,500 dunams.

The development plans also involve construction of an additional 30-40,000sqm of commercial space, including the new Egged ..."
