Bullets Flying in Rehovot Today
"Bullets flying in Rehovot today. Gotcha! Notice I didn't say "fired." A very young soldier was getting off a bus as I got to the station. His rifle caught on the door and then swung free. His clips, which are just loosely tied to the gun (rubber band or something) flew off and hit the ground. Cartridges went flying..."

When I served in the Israeli army, the long version of the M-16 was called "the Staff of 1,000 Apologies" because when you walked down the aisle on an Egged bus, the gun would knock against each passenger as the soldier tries to squeeze down the aisle. This post reminded me of this.
