Israeli cinema, which constitutes the country's display window, has in recent years achieved unprecedented success and recognition in Israel and around the world. The Israeli experience – for all its complex, turbulent, exciting, ironic, and fascinating texture – is expressed in the cinematic creations that have become an inherent part of Israel's cultural fabric.
The cinematic composition exhibited at the Festival, produced by women, grants us the viewers a unique perspective of the issues that arise in society – the perspective of the creating woman.
I congratulate the artists and creators, who have diligently labored and present us with their creations.
